Weekend Structure Fire

The Smithtown Fire Department was toned out for a signal 13 (structure fire) with the location of 1 Harcourt Avenue on Saturday, May 5 at 17:27 (5:27pm).
The call was quickly updated to a 13/35 (working structure fire) as flames started coming out of the roof.
The fire, which started at the rear of the home quickly traveled to the second floor and attic of the structure.
Initially water was put on the fire from an exterior attack. Shortly after entry was made into the first level of the house when an interior attack also commenced.
All visible fire was knocked down at 18:16 (6:16pm).
On scene were Chiefs 4-2-30 (Landrigan), 4-2-32 (Diecidue) and 4-2-33 (Duckham) Engines 4-2-1 ,4-2-2, 4-2-4, 4-2-5, Rescue 4-2-9, 4-2-19, Fire Police 4-2-10 and Ambulances 4-2-61, 4-2-62, 4-2-64, 4-2-65.
Mutual aid was provided by Nesconset FD, Kings Park FD, St, James FD, Commack FD, Commack Ambulance, Hauppauge FD and CIHVAC (Central Islip/Hauppauge Volunteer Ambulance).
