The Smithtown Fire Department was toned out for a signal 14 (vehicle fire) on Monday, April 16, 2018, at 16:05 (4:05 pm) with the location of IFO the Smithtown Auto Works at 324 Middle Country Road with the cross of John Jones Lane.
Units on scene went to work on a car fire involving a compact white vehicle used for commercial purposes. The fire was attacked with a 1 ¾” line and brought under control at 16:26 (4:26 pm).
On scene were Chiefs 4-2-30 (Landrigan), 4-2-33 (Duckham) and 4-2-32 (Diecidue), Engines 4-2-1, 4-2-5, and Rescue 4-2-9.
