A few years ago the Smithtown Fire Department acquired their 1935 Mack Ladder truck that was last used by the Melville Fire Department. For the past year a ground up restoration has been underway in Maine. The Ladder will return this spring to be viewed as a part of Smithtown Fire Department history and serve in exhibitions, parades and community events.
