The Smithtown Fire Department held their 108th Installation Dinner on Saturday, April 16th at Flowefield in St. James. In addition to the installation of Chiefs, Department and Company Officers, SFD announced service awards and Firefighter of the Year recipients. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of a 60 year of service pin to Ladder Company 7 former Captain Jerry Melvin.
